Who Shiva-Parvati is

Shiva and Parvati as a married couple are the model of partnership in the tradition: ascetic and householder, held together.

The Gauri Shankar is their bead — two Rudraksha that grew naturally joined on the tree. It is worn for marriage, family harmony and reconciliation. Glued fakes are common in the market, which is why each bead’s X-ray is published on its own page.
