Ask about a beadBrowse the beadsBy presiding deity
Beads whose presiding deity is traditionally given as Gauri with child Ganesha.
Gauri is Parvati in her gentle form, and here she is shown with the child Ganesha — the mother and the son together.
The Garbha Gauri is a joined pair in which one bead is clearly smaller than the other, read as a mother carrying a child. It is worn for conception, pregnancy and the bond between parent and child, and it is the bead most families ask us about for that reason.
| Bead | Presiding deity | Planet | Chakra | Rarity | Worn traditionally for |

| Garbha Gauri | Gauri with child Ganesha | Moon | Swadhisthana (Sacral) | Rare | Conception, pregnancy protection, mother-child bond |
Garbha Gauri. Attributions of this kind are recorded differently in different sources, so you may see other beads listed elsewhere.
Each bead has its own beej mantra. Garbha Gauri: Om Vam Shreem Hreem Hum Namah. It is traditionally chanted when the bead is first worn.
These are traditional associations recorded in Vedic and Puranic sources. They are described here as tradition, not as medical or therapeutic claims, and no bead is a substitute for medical care.
