How we prove a bead is what we say it is

Everyone in this trade says “100% original”. It is worth nothing on its own. Here is the actual procedure, and what you get with every bead.

The X-ray

A Rudraksha is a seed with separate internal compartments. The number of those compartments equals the number of lines running down the outside of the bead. A genuine eleven mukhi has eleven lines and eleven chambers.

Carving extra lines into a common five mukhi to sell it as an eleven takes a few minutes with a burr. Growing extra chambers takes a different tree. So we X-ray every bead, count the chambers, and reject anything that disagrees with its surface.

What people ask

What does the X-ray actually prove?
That the number of internal chambers matches the number of lines on the surface. Lines can be carved onto a cheaper bead in minutes; chambers cannot be added at all. It is the only test that settles the question outright.
Who issues the lab certificate?
An independent testing laboratory, per bead, referenced to that bead’s lot number. We publish the certificate on the bead’s page so you can read it before you pay rather than after. The issuing laboratory is named on the certificate itself.
What does the lifetime authenticity guarantee cover?
If any bead you buy from us is ever shown by an independent lab not to be what we said it was, we refund the full purchase price, with no time limit. It covers authenticity and mukhi count. It does not cover normal wear, or outcomes from wearing the bead.
Do you energise the beads?
Beads are energised on request before dispatch, and the date is recorded against the lot. If you would rather do it yourself, or have your own priest do it, say so at checkout and we will send it unenergised.
