How to choose
Protection is one of the oldest reasons Rudraksha are worn: against fear, ill will and a run of misfortune.
The 9 Mukhi, given to Durga, and the 11, given to the Ekadasha Rudra, are the strongest traditional choices. The 10 Mukhi, given to Vishnu, is the general protective bead. The Garbha Gauri is worn to protect a pregnancy. The 16 and 22 Mukhi are rare.
