About the Muladhara chakra

Muladhara, the root chakra at the base of the spine, is read as safety, survival and being grounded.

The 8 and 9 Mukhi are the usual choices: the 8 for Ganesha’s steadiness, the 9 for Durga’s protection. The Ganesh Rudraksha belongs here too. The 16 and 18 Mukhi are rarer and their attribution to this chakra varies.
