Tradition
About this bead
Worn traditionally for fearlessness, dynamic energy, control over desire and overwhelm, Ketu remedy
Usually worn by: Anxiety, obsession, Ketu dasha.
These are traditional associations recorded in Vedic and Puranic sources. They are described here as tradition, not as medical or therapeutic claims, and no bead is a substitute for medical care.
Practical
Wearing and care
- How it is strung
- On red thread by default, or capped in silver on request. Tell us which you want when you order.
- Keeping it well
- Rudraksha is a seed. Keep it dry, oil it with mustard or olive oil once or twice a year, and take it off before swimming. It will darken with wear, which is normal and not a defect.
- Shipping and duties
- Sent insured from Nepal. Import duty is charged by your own country and is not included in the price above — we will give you the estimate for your destination when you order rather than surprising you later.

Questions about this size
Which size of 9 Mukhi Rudraksha should I choose?
We list 9 Mukhi in Regular (18–21 mm), Medium (21–24 mm), Collector (24–32 mm), Super Collector (32–40 mm). Medium is a middle size of the ones we list it in. Beads this size are the usual choice for a single bead worn on a thread at the chest.
What size is Medium 9 Mukhi?
Our Medium band is 21–24 mm. Grade names differ between sellers, so compare the millimetres rather than the word — every individual bead below lists its own exact measurement.
Is Medium grade worth the extra over a smaller bead?
Size does not change the traditional attribution of the bead. Larger beads are rarer, more symmetrical and priced accordingly, so it is a question of what you want to wear and what you want to spend, not of one bead being more genuine than another.
Will I receive the exact bead in the photographs?
Yes, if you choose one of the individual beads listed below. Each has its own measurements, X-ray and collection record, and that specific bead is what ships.
